1. What is oak wood?

2. Classify oak wood

The average weight of red oak is 753kg/m3, hardness 6583N. The heartwood is pink, the sapwood is white to light brown, and the wood is easy to shape into curves. Red oak wood is characterized by being hard and heavy, with moderate strength and good compression resistance. Compared to white oak, red oak is larger, distributed mainly in the Eastern United States.

The wood has high hardness and heavy weight. In particular, white oak contains a high level of tannin in the wood, so it can effectively resist insect attacks.
